I can't really determine anything else from the graphs that would explain the sonic differences I'm hearing though. There are slight differences in amplitude that I didn't balance out perfectly, but looking at the two graphs I think I can see visually that the right sample is more compressed. The left is the original sample BUT I added some compression. The view on the right is the Kanye West version. I ran both samples through Voxengo SPAN and this is what the spectrum analyzer shows: If i recall correctly he also added acoustic drums to it. What I hear is that the Kanye west version of the sample sounds clearer, the choir is cleaner and sounds more present and not like it was recorded underwater.
